Weekend Prayer Team

At each of the two weekend worship services, there is a team of people eager to pray with you about whatever is on your heart. Generally this happens towards the end of the worship services or perhaps afterwards. Those wanting prayer can come forward so the elders or pastors may pray for them.

Prayer Meetings

Tuesday evenings

We meet together every second Tuesday at 7 pm, at 602 Queen Street West.  We believe that our lives seldom out-distance our prayers. There, together, we pray for many things concerning our lives and our life together as a church.  Feel free to join us.

Friday mornings

Every Friday from 9 – 10:30am, the staff of the church gather along with anyone else who cares to join.  There we pray for people we reach out to, for the church and for many other things.  If this time works for you, do join us.

Special prayer events

Solemn Assembly

First week January every year, we gather in the evenings as a church for prayer.  There we humble ourselves before God – that is why we call it a ‘Solemn Assembly’. We seek to turn away from self-centredness and toward God and His vision for the new year for ourselves and our church.  Another way of thinking about it is ‘recalibrating the soul’.  Watch our calendar for dates and times when we get near to year-end.

First Week in September

Here we focus our prayers particularly on the start of the school year, the new programs, new hopes for the fall, and new dreams.  All of these are best submitted to God in prayer.  Jesus said, ‘whatever you ask in prayer you will receive.

Prayer for the Sick

When we are sick, Jesus invites us to come to Him for healing.  This invitation is as fresh today as it was 2000 years ago.  He stands by our sickbed and we should, without hesitation, ask Him to heal our diseases.

I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

Christ’s healing power continues today because Jesus

is the same yesterday, today and forever.  (Hebrews 13:8)

Particularly at our worship services, opportunity is given to receive prayers for healing.
