The Compassionate Ministries Track is based at Toronto Alliance Church, a church in downtown Toronto, Canada. We believe that the church is called to serve the needy in its proximity. To that end, we are a church that ministers to many people who are poor, mentally ill, addicted, and street-involved. This happens particularly through our Saturday night Community Night, where a meal is served, clothing rooms and food bank are opened; this is followed by a chapel service. Approximately 100 people are served each Saturday night; this happens in partnership with many other churches. TAC also serves the poor through one-on-one meetings and Bible studies that happen throughout the week. We are also called into other ministry situations, such as leading memorial services for the poor. Spiritual warfare is often involved.

The Compassionate Ministry volunteer will learn how to help lead in these various ministries among the street-invloved and urban poor. A major goal of the track will be to assist in developing discipleship relationships with those engaged through the Community Night ministry.
